Fire and Ice

An animated movie from 1983, directed by Ralp Bakshi and illustrated by Frank Frazetta.
Nekron, the evil Ice Lord uses his powers to conquer the Fire Keep, the great fortress ruled by the good King Jarol. When Jarol's beautiful daughter, Teegra, is abducted by Nekron's sub-human ape-like creatures, her only hope is a young warrior, Larn, who begins a daring search for her.

I really enjoyed this movie! The illustrations were great and gave me a lot of inspiration. Frank Frazetta's style in this movie is something that's really my taste. There's a lot of partial-nudity! Both female and male.
In other words, this is not exactly a children's movie.

Sleeping Beauty

A few weeks ago I went to The Royal Opera to see Tchaikovsky's 'The Sleeping Beauty'. It was absolutely magnificent and magical! I felt like a little girl again. One of the things I wanted to be when I was little was a ballet dancer. And to be honest I still do, I've always loved dancing. But I'm afraid that that's just one of those dreams I have to let go of...

The funny thing was, the music was from the Disney movie soundtrack (it's really vice versa)! Now THAT was pretty amazing.

The prince in green was my favorite!
The pictures above were sadly not taken by me!

Skåneland du knäppa land

Last week I went to visit my cousin who lives in Skåne. I felt like I needed a little break from everything, so why not visit her? After all, I had not seen her for at least six months. I had really missed her. We have always had a strong bond between us. And then one day she left. I took it pretty hard but I know the reasons why she left.

She hugged me tight when she saw me and kept saying that she couldn't believe I was 'here'. We had a long chat about everyone and everything. Memories were shared and a lot of cigarettes were smoked. Just like the good old days.

And time really passed by too quickly. Suddenly I was back on the flight going up north. At least I got a chance to visit Denmark! It was late at night as we suddenly decided to take the train Copenhagen.
Surprisingly, not many pictures were taken during my days down south.

Had a date with Thor!
